Founded as the Florida extension of a proven Midwestern company, TEAM Builders was created by two lifelong friends who wanted to make construction more personal and transparent. That same people-first philosophy now guides every project we build along Florida's Gulf Coast.

Austin Maginnis is the Owner, CEO, and visionary behind TEAM Builders. Known for his creativity and forward-thinking mindset, Austin leads with a focus on innovation, culture, and growth. His greatest strengths lie in building high-performing teams and turning big ideas into real, lasting impact-both for the company and the clients it serves.
Trevor plays a key leadership role at TEAM Builders, overseeing our Iowa branch with a focus on custom builds and deck projects. He helps keep operations running smoothly up north while also supporting the growth and structure of our Florida branch, bridging both teams with his experience and steady direction.
Ric is a seasoned Project Manager with over four decades of hands-on construction experience in the Sarasota area. Known for his deep well of knowledge and sharp eye for detail, Rick brings steady leadership to every job site he visits. He plays a key role in keeping projects on track-bouncing start builds to ensure quality, efficiency, and everything running smoothly.
Sarah is our Office Administrator and Bookkeeper, bringing years of experience and a can-do attitude to the heart of our operations. From managing finances to keeping the team organized, she plays a vital role in making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes-and isn't afraid to keep us all in line when needed.
As a key leader at TEAM Builders, Austin drives the company's marketing strategy and brand vision across both Iowa and Florida. After relocating to Sarasota, he's been instrumental in launching and scaling the Florida division-building local presence, leading growth initiatives, and laying the foundation for long-term success in a new market.
Michael Vilches, a Sarasota native, brings years of hands-on experience from working with numerous construction companies in the area. As our Project Controller, he plays a crucial role in scheduling, coordination, and overall project planning-ensuring every detail is accounted for and no beat is missed. His local insight and steady presence help keep our operations running like clockwork.
Jesse is a seasoned Project Manager with a sharp eye for detail and a steady hand in the field. He excels at keeping builds running smoothly-coordinating trades, managing timelines, and ensuring each phase of construction flows in the right order. His focus and experience help keep projects on track and stress levels low.
Michael Whiteside is a valuable new addition to the TEAM Builders crew, bringing a wealth of construction experience across all facets of the industry.
